　　在沙漠中生活的卡拉哈里人遠離現代世界，在干旱的環境里自有一套謀生方式。卡拉哈里人奇哥（N!xau 飾）的兩個幼子奇沙與奇爾在父親尋找食物時被車廂的露水吸引，登上了偷獵者的卡車，卻被不知情的偷獵者帶走。奇哥自此踏上了追尋孩子的旅途……來自美國的法學博士安泰勒（Lena Farugia 飾）經一位心血來潮的飛行員邀請，登上了他的飛機，卻為惡劣的天氣影響，和動物學家馬歇爾（Hans Strydom 飾）一同被困在沙漠的深處，兩位博士術業有專攻，但野外生存肯定不是安泰勒的強項，女博士忙亂的表現為這次歷險平添了輕松的氣氛……古巴戰士與非洲士兵為雙方陣營而戰，兩個人一把槍傳來傳去，他們也先后做著對方的俘虜……這群人在沙漠深處的動物天堂穿插互動，上演了一出溫馨輕松的喜劇。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
