 何鵬（于榮光 飾）是一名年輕有為，充滿了正義感的警官。在一次臥底行動(dòng)中，他和同事楊正（陳展鵬 飾）一起執(zhí)行任務(wù)，行動(dòng)最終以成功破獲犯罪分子的贓物告終，而面對(duì)價(jià)值連城的鉆石，楊正鬼迷了心竅，將贓物藏了起來沒有上報(bào)。何鵬在無意之中發(fā)現(xiàn)自己竟然身患絕癥，時(shí)日無多。因?yàn)楣ぷ饕恢崩渎淞似拮拥暮矽i感到非常的愧疚，于是決定用余下的時(shí)間好好的陪伴妻子。楊正借此機(jī)會(huì)將私藏贓物的罪名栽贓到了何鵬的頭上。為了證明自己的清白，何鵬不得不拖著病重的身體親自上陣調(diào)查事件的真相。最終，何鵬終于揪住了楊正的小辮子，人贓俱獲。
