實錄怪談書籍《現(xiàn)代百物語 新耳袋》引起的風潮持續(xù)多年不退，書籍、TV、電影等等形式接連再現(xiàn)了現(xiàn)代怪談的詭異風姿。在此之后，親身前往的靈異之地探訪的風潮也漸漸興起。實錄風格的《怪談新耳袋突擊！》接連推出，《怪談新耳袋突擊！》的作者小林銀天、映畫秘寶編輯部的田野邊尚人、《怪談新耳袋》的導演村上賢司等人組成的“新耳G男”以及他們的“非人類”搭檔市松人偶小八探訪日本各大靈異場所，遇到無數(shù)挑戰(zhàn)和詭異情況。此次他們率隊開赴東海道，探訪了夜晚有幽靈出現(xiàn)的攝影工作室、地下埋藏死者的新宿公園、作為許多都市傳說發(fā)源地的靜岡某洞窟、經常目擊UFO的愛知某山、豐橋某廢棄的恐怖隧道…… 未知的路程再度開始。
