　　阿祖（劉德華 飾）母親逝世后，父親（秦沛 飾）管教方法不當，父子倆的關系疏離。阿祖離開家獨自生活，生活狀況并不如意，幸好有女友阿儀（梁詠琪 飾）在旁鼓勵照顧。阿祖一向喜愛賽電單車，但他性格要強，一次與父親車隊中的大偉（吳大偉 飾）比賽，結果阿祖在比賽中受傷了，昏迷了十天。女友悉心照顧并勸他以后不要再賽車了，于是阿祖康復后便決定放棄賽車，好好經營修車店。可是好友嘉樂（錢嘉樂 飾）在一次與大偉的比賽中身亡，事件令阿祖的初衷改變了，阿儀卻失望離去……
