古畑任三郎 兇手是大使閣下

　　駐南美某國日本大使館，大使黛竹千代（松本幸四郎 飾）為人冷酷嚴厲，奢華無度，他利用職權之便大肆斂財，引得當地民眾怨聲載道。適值外務大臣即將來訪的重要時刻，作為參事的川北健（及川光博 飾）不愿再涉足泥潭，準備召開媒體懇談會將大使的罪行公布于眾，他也由此引來殺身之禍。與此同時，剛巧來南美洲度假的古畑任三郎（田村正和 飾）因護照被猴子偷走而被迫滯留，所幸遇到了無處不在的花田（八島智人 飾）而暫得棲身之地。不久之后，綁架川北的勒索信函送至，但是這封疑點重重的勒索信馬上便引起古畑刑警的懷疑……　　本片為《古畑任三郎》系列第五部SP。
